What’s It Worth?? 1959 Edsel Corsair Convertible. Ford’s Big Flop Becomes A Collectible Success

We all know the story of the poor Ole Edsel. A not so great idea by Ford to capture more of a market share. It’s name till today is synonys with “failure”

Named after founder Henry Ford’s late son Edsel it was a good car with a very ugly face. Popular Mechanics magazine joked its front looked like a “Horse Collar”

The doomed Edsel would only last from 1958-1960 when Ford pulled the plug in mid year 1960. Since than any automotive blunder was considered being "Edsel Like" Shame because they were darn good cars.

Our feature 1959 Edsel Corsair Convertible has a recent frome off restoration.Options include the very rare “supercharged” 303 horsepower 361 cubic inch V8.

Other factory upgrades include A/C, power steering and windows.Only 1343 Corsair ragtops were built in 1959 with only 25 with the supercharged engine…Gotta love the Continental Kit.
