What’s It Worth?? 1962 Jaguar XKE Coupe ..The Most Beautiful Car Of All Time?

When Jaguar introduced the new “E-Type” in March of 1961 it was a sensation. Considered by many as the most beautiful car of all time the Jaguar XKE evoked both beauty and speed. One of only three cars to be ever displayed at the Guggenheim Museum as a work of art.

Unlike any other car before the E-Type was a legend from the start. The Series One was powered by a 3.8 liter dual overhead cam inline six cylinder. Fed thru three SU carburetors it was both powerful and graceful. The first 300 cars were produced with a flat floor and and external hood latches.

These early E-Types are considered the most valuable. Two bodies were available. A Fixed Head (Coupe) or Drop Head (Convertible) in Jaguar Speak. The values of E-Types have held strong for good cars with proper history. Low miles originals and XKE’s with a proper restorations sell in six figures.

Our feature "Flat Floor" 1962 Jaguar E-Type coupe is an award winner. With a correct and fresh frame off restoration it displays why many consider the early Jag XKE the most beautiful car of all time.
