Model year 1985 Chevy upgraded the front of its popular C/K series with a quad headlight look and tall grill. If you went for the Silverado you got chrome bumpers, chrome grille, stainless wheel arch mouldings, chrome mirrors and an upgraded interiors with plush velour seats, carpet and wood dash trim.
The standard issue engine was the new for 1985 4.3 liter fuel injected V6. Most people went for the V8. Engines ranged from the tried and true 305 small block up to the thristy 350 V8 with a four barrel Rochester carb. The combo of versitility and comfort made the 1985 Chevy Silverado a huge seller.
